Rheological methods can be used to characterize the solution states of polymer solutions in terms of their flow and deformation behavior.
Rotational tests can be carried out to determine zero shear viscosities and flow curves, while oscillation measurements can be used to characterize flow and elastic properties as well as relaxation time spectra by determining storage and loss modulus values and complex viscosities.
